I had a wonderful time at the St. Louis Ren Faire in Wentzville over Memorial Weekend and am looking forward to wearing my new outfits at Bristol this season.  I've been sewing like a madwoman.  I can't believe opening day of Bristol is just a few weekends away!

Something very odd is going on this week.  I haven't gotten a full night's sleep any night this week.  It stormed on Tuesday (which I can sleep through), except then some idiots from somewhere else in the building decide to find out if you can light fireworks in the rain from their balcony.  The answer is "yes, you stupid *#$@, now let the rest of us sleep".  Wednesday was a very late night meeting full of brainstorming for a project gone wrong, followed by a very early morning to get to work early.  Last night I wake up because my alarm is going off.  The clock says 2:00 and it's not my alarm.  Wandering out to the hallway, I realize it's not the apartment smoke detector or the carbon monoxide detector.  Nope, it's the building fire alarm.  Realizing there's no way I'm ever getting the cats out while the alarm is sounding (the alarm is right next to my door and it's hurning my ears), I get dressed, check the temp on the door, check the temp on the stairway door, notice water pooling at the 1st floor level, and get outside.  There's no one else out yet and the fire trucks are just pulling up.  30 minutes later, the fire trucks leave and I try to go back to sleep.  5:45 was very early this morning.  I just hope I'm able to sleep tonight, 'cause tomorrow I get new bedroom furniture and everything out of my storage unit!
